Abstract： Postoperative cognitive dysfunction(POCD) is a central nervous system disease that commonly occurs in the elderly.It not only causes a decline in quality of life but also increase the economic burden of family and society.Pathogenesis,prophylaxis and treatment for POCD get wild attention.This paper reviewed the definition,diagnosis,risk factors,prevention and treatment of POCD.
