Abstract: Objective To determine the method of a capillary electrophoretic method for the determination of chlorogenic acid and baicalin in Yinhuang oral liquid. Methods Capillary electrophoretic method was used to determine the contents of chlorogenic acid and baicalin in Yinhuang oral liquid. An elastic quartz capillary tube at 20 ℃ was used with a running buffer of Na2B4O7(25 mmol/L, pH =9.0) and the separate voltage was 15 kV and detection wavelength was 325 nm. Results Under optimized conditions, two components were separated in 15 min.A good linear relationship between the peak area and concentration was observed within ranges of 0. 05-1.0 g/L and 0. 2-2.0 g/L of chlorogenic acid and baicalin, respectively. The detection limits were found to be 0.01 g/L and 0. 02 g/L for these two components. The recycle rate of two components were all within 98%-102%. Conclusion Capillary electrophoretic method is good for the quality control of Yinhuang oral liquid.
