Abstract： Objective To evaluate the applicability of propofol and fentanyl in electronic gastroscopy and cnlonoscopy examinations. Methods Eighty patients receiving routine endoscopy were enrolled as control group. Other 80 patients administered with propefol and fentanyl were painless group. Blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR),pulse oxygen saturation(SpO2),adverse effect and sick symptoms were continuously monitored and recorded before, during and after operation. Results BP, HR and SpO2 before, during and after operation were significantly different between the two groups(P < 0.01). Conclusion Application of propafol and fentanyl in the process of e-lectronic gastroscopy and colonoscopy is effective and safe.
