Abstract： Objective:To investigate the effects of hyperbaric oxygen combined with mirror therapy on motor function，neurological function，and self-care ability of stroke patients with hemiplegia.Methods:A total of 90 patients with stroke hemiplegia treated in the Department of Neurosurgery of Linyi People’s Hospital from April 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the research subjects. According to different treatments，the patients were divided into control group（basic treatment， n=28），hyperbaric oxygen group（basic treatment + hyperbaric oxygen treatment， n=29），and combined group（basic treatment + hyperbaric oxygen combined with mirror therapy， n=33）. The Simplified Fugl Meyer Assessment（FMA），Berg balance scale（BBS），and hemiplegic walking ability rating scale（Hwars）were used to evaluate and compare the motor functions of the three groups before and after treatment. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale（NIHSS）and Basel Index（BI）were used to evaluate and compare the neurological function and self-care ability of the three groups before and after treatment. The clinical effects of the three groups were also compared. Results:After treatment，the scores of FMA，BBS，BI，and Hwars in the combined group were significantly higher than or better than those in the control group and the hyperbaric oxygen group（ P<0.05），while the NIHSS score was significantly lower than those in the control group and the hyperbaric oxygen group（ P<0.05）. After treatment，the total effective rates of the control group，the hyperbaric oxygen group，and the combined group were 50.00%，68.96%，and 87.87%，respectively（ P<0.01）. Conclusion:Hyperbaric oxygen combined with mirror therapy can promote the recovery of neurological function and improve the motor ability and self-care ability of stroke patients with hemiplegia.
