Abstract: Bronchiectasis is a condition in which a bronchus or the bronchi are distended permanently, associated with chronic inflammation of the airway with recurrent purulent infection, causing heavy economic burden to both family and society.Studies showed that pulmonary rehabilitation can effectively reduce respiratory symptoms, improve exercise capacity, improve quality of life and nutritional status, relieve anxiety and depression, and reduce hospitalization rate.However, pulmonary rehabilitation has not been paid enough attention to in the clinical management of bronchiectasis.Thus this paper reviews application and research progress of pulmonary rehabilitation in the management of bronchiectasis.
