Abstract: Objective To study the role of outer membrane protein in the formation of multidrug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii biofilm. Methods The multidrug resistant strains of Acinetobacter baumannii in our hospital were selected. The same strain was studied in different growth states, the whole genome of the two samples was compared. The gene function was analyzed by high-throughput sequencing.Statistical differences in gene expression between two samples were studied. Results The gene expression of the same strain in two different states was indeed different.Among the differentially expressed genes,106 genes were up-regulated and 92 genes were down-regulated.Among them, the outer membrane protein related genes in the biofilm state were significantly expressed. Conclusions The biofilm was a unique form.In the biofilm state, the different genes focus on the expression of the outer membrane proteins and the regulation of intracellular pathways.Outer membrane protein, which is one of most abundant proteins in the biofilm formation, plays an important role in the process of biofilm formation and maturation.
