Abstract: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is found as the most important stimulating factor in the blood vessels. VEGF expression in malignant tumors is significantly higher than that in normal tissues. It promotes tumor growth and metastasis by stimulating the formation of tumor blood vessels and lymphatic vessels. Therefore, targeted therapy against VEGF has been research focus recently. The researches about autocrine mechanism and upstream regulatory genes of VEGF provide more new tools for targeted therapy of lung cancer through VEGF.
