Abstract： Objective:To investigate the effect of anti-osteoporosis drugs on the postoperative recovery of elderly patients with osteoporotic proximal humeral fracture.Methods:A retrospective study of 77 elderly patients with osteoporotic proximal humeral fractures admitted to our hospital from October 2019 to May 2021 was conducted.The patients were divided into experimental group(n=40)and control group(n=37)according to whether anti-osteoporosis drugs were used after operation.The control group was only treated with proximal humeral locking plate,while the experimental group was treated with anti-osteoporosis after operation.The fracture healing time,excellent and good rate of fracture healing,shoulder joint function,pain degree and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The fracture healing time of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group,and the excellent and good rate of fracture healing was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of shoulder joint function in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group at 3,6 and 12 months after operation(P<0.05).The pain scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group at 3 and 6 months after operation(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in pain scores between the two groups at 12 months after operation(P>0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 2.50%,which was lower than 18.92%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of anti-osteoporosis drugs in the treatment of elderly patients with osteoporotic proximal humeral fractures can accelerate the rehabilitation process of patients,improve shoulder joint function,reduce body pain,and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions,which is worthy of clinical application.
