Abstract: Objective To compare the clinical effects of three anesthesia methods:general anesthesia, epidural block anesthesia, and lumbar epidural anesthesia, and to discuss the impact of different anesthesia methods on postpartum outcomes in patients with severe preeclampsia. Methods This article retrospectively analyzed one hundred and fifty severe preeclampsia patients admitted to Tangshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 who underwent cesarean section surgery using three different anesthesia methods:general anesthesia, epidural block anesthesia, and combined spinal epidural anesthesia.By comparing the subjective and.objective indicators of systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),mean arterial pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR),Apgar scores at 1 and 5 minutes after birth,as well as possible ad-verse reactions in three groups of patients at different time points, evaluate the clinical effects of three differ-ent anesthesia methods on patients. Results There was no significant difference in SBP,DBP,MAP,and HR among the three groups of patients before and after surgery; The incidence of postoperative adverse reactions such as hypotension, headache, and nausea in the lumbar epidural anesthesia group was significantly lower than that in the other two groups, with a significant difference(P<0.05);The postpartum Apgar score of newborns was significantly higher than the other two groups, with a significant difference(P<0.05).Conclu-sion Spinal epidural anesthesia can effectively reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications in severe preeclampsia patients undergoing cesarean section, reduce the adverse effects of anesthesia on newborns, and is a safer and more reliable anesthesia method for severe preeclampsia patients undergoing cesarean section.
