Expressions and clinical significance of Wnt/p-catenin signaling pathways and TIPE3 in gastric mucosal tissues in patients with gastric mucosal lesions at different stages

Abstract: Objective To explore the expressions and clinical significance of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathways and tumor necrosis factor α-inducible protein 8-like factor 3(TIPE3)in gastric mucosal tissues in patients with gastric mucosal lesions at different stages.Methods A total of one hundred patients with gastric muco-sal lesions confirmed in the hospital were enrolled as the research objects between January 2021 and January 2023.According to gastric mucosal lesions at different stages,they were divided into chronic non-atrophic gas-tritis(NAG)group(n=33),intestinal metaplasia(IM)group(n=40)and gastric cancer(GC)group(n=27).And other 34 healthy controls during the same period were enrolled as control group.Hp infection was ob-served in all patients.The levels of inflammatory factors[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-17(IL-17),interferon-γ(IFN-γ)],Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway related proteins[Wnt3α,β-catenin,GSK-3β,Wnt1]and TIPE3 in patients with gastric mucosal lesions at different stages were com-pared.Results The Hp infection rate of patients with gastric mucosal lesions was 71.00%(71/100),which was higher than that of the control group[32.35%(11/34)](P<0.05).The levels of TNF-α,IL-6,IL-17 and IFN-γ in patients with gastric mucosal lesions were significantly higher than those in control group,which were significantly higher in IM and GC group than NAG group(P<0.05).The levels of Wnt3α,β-catenin,GSK-3β,Wnt1 and TIPE3 in patients with gastric mucosal lesions were significantly higher than those in con-trol group,which were significantly higher in IM and GC group than NAG group(P<0.05).Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway related proteins Wnt3α,β-catenin,GSK-3β and Wnt1 were positively correlated with TNF-α,IL-6,IL-17,IFN-γ and TIPE3(P<0.05).The levels of Wnt3α,β-catenin,GSK-3β,Wnt1,TIPE3,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-17 and IFN-γ in Hp-positive group were significantly higher than those in Hp-negative group(P<0.05).Conclusion The development of gastric mucosal lesions may be related to the activation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathways and the up-regulation of TIPE3 expression.
