Abstract: Objective To investigate the relation of heart rates and scanning span with scanning doses in Coronary Computerized To-mography Angiography. Methods 240 patients undergoing CCTA were divided into 4 groups according to the heart rates and scanning span;effective doses( ED)were recorded and four point scoring method was applied in evaluating the image quality. Results No differ-ence in image quality was found among the groups;radiation reduced significantly as the heart rates slowed down;effective doses in pa-tients undergoing diastasis scanning were significantly lower than those in patients undergoing whole cardiac cycle scanning. Conclu-sions The scanning does in CCTA can be effectively decreased by reducing heart rates and shortening scanning span.
