Abstract: Objective:To carry out a scoping review on the application of digital storytelling in nursing education, so as to provide reference for the promotion and application of digital storytelling in nursing education.Methods:Guided by the scoping review guidance proposed by Joanna Briggs Institute, literature on the application of digital storytelling in nursing education was systematically searched in PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, Scopus, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang Data, VIP, and China Biomedical Database. The search period was from database establishment to April 15, 2023. The literature that met the inclusion criteria was summarized and analyzed.Results:A total of 12 articles were included. Digital storytelling had standardized creative processes and tools, and had a wide range of application scenarios and flexible application modes in nursing education, which could enhance students' various abilities and qualities.Conclusions:The application of digital storytelling in nursing education has advantages, but currently there are also certain limitations. Chinese nursing researchers can draw on existing research results from abroad, combine with the domestic education environment and the characteristics of nursing profession, and carry out multiple specialized digital storytelling education applications and research.
