Abstract: AIM To compare the clinical effects of laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparotomy in gallstone patients with gastric ulcer.METHODS From August 2013 to September 2016,120 gallstone patients with gastric ulcer were randomized into either a laparotomy group (n--60) or a laparoscopic cholecystectomy group (n--60).The laparotomy group underwent laparotomy, and the laparoscopic cholecystectomy group underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Clinical efficacy and prognosis of the two groups were compared.RESULTS The amount of bleeding in the laparoscopic cholecystectomy group was significantly lower than that in the laparotomy group (P < 0.05).The operative time was significantly longer in the laparoscopic cholecystectomy group than in the laparotomy group (P < 0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was 6.67% in the laparoscopic group and 11.67% in the open group, and there was a significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05).CONCLUSION Laparoscopic cholecystectomy has the advantages of little trauma and quick recovery and can improve prognosis in gallstone patients with gastric ulcer.
