Abstract: Facial skin aging is mostly characterized by wrinkles, skin laxity, skin color changes, rough skin texture, etc. The rapid development of photoelectric techniques, including lasers at various wavelengths, radio frequency, intense pulsed light, infrared light, plasma and focused ultrasound, has greatly facilitated facial rejuvenation. At clinics, these photoelectric techniques are selected according to symptoms of skin aging, and can be utilized alone or in combination to individualize treatment. To learn about the action mechanism, clinical indications, efficacy and adverse effects of various photoelectric techniques will facilitate clinical decision-making in the treatment of facial skin laxity and wrinkles.
