Abstract： Psoriasis is recognized as a complex multifactorial disease affected by environmental and genetic factors. Familial linkage analysis and candidate gene-based methods, which were commonly used in previous studies have limited detection sensitivity. Recently, the application of genome-wide association studies based on single nucleotide polymorphisms has promoted the exploration in genetic basis of psoriasis, and might offer new treatment targets for psoriasis.
