Abstract: Objective To explore the constitution type of Chinese medicine in patients with allergic dermatosis after COVID-19.Methods 120 patients with COVID-19 who were treated in Dongang Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from November 1,2022 to June 20,2023 were selected.The observation group consisted of 60 patients with allergic dermatosis within three weeks after COVID-19 infection,and the control group consisted of 60 patients who had allergic dermatosis without recurrence/aggravation after COVID-19 infection.The general data were collected to judge the TCM constitution of patients,and analyze the characteristics of patients with recurrent and new allergic skin diseases after novel coronavirus infection.Results There was significant difference between the observation group and the control group in TCM constitution classification(P<0.05).In the observation group,there were 18 new cases of allergic dermatosis after novel coronavirus infection,the constitution types were Yang deficiency,Qi deficiency,and balance and harmony type while 26 patients with recurrence,in the control group,the constitution types were balance and harmony type,Yang deficiency,phlegm damp and qi deficiency;16 cases were aggravated and the constitution types were Yang deficiency and balance and harmony type.The difference between the three types of patients was not statistically significant(P>0.05).There were 17 patients with multiple subjective symptoms in the observation group at the same time,of which,itching,pain,burning sensation and numbness were seen at the same time;the first subjective symptom of new onset,recurrence and aggravation was itching,followed by burning and pain,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The constitution of patients with allergic dermatosis after COVID-19 is mainly Yang deficiency,which is more common in dermatitis,urticaria,eczema and other diseases.
