Abstract： Chronic pancreatitis(CP)is a common disease of digestive system.Professor TIAN De-lu believes pancreas is considered as a part of the spleen of traditional Chinese medicine on the perspective of morphology,position and function.The treatment of CP can focus on the spleen and stomach.Professor TIAN De-lu uses the theory of clearing and descending and adopted the treatment method of clearing liver and gallbladder,clearing up dampness and heat,nourishing Yin,nourishing the Middle Jiao with the sweet and neutral herbs in nature,and paid attention to the treatment of phlegm,blood stasis,toxicity and other pathological products,and achieved satisfactory curative effect in the clinical treatment of CP.
