The Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases is professional academic periodical on ophthalmology which has the characteristics of clinical and basic study of posterior segment of eye. It is sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association, administrated by the China Association for Science and Technology and published by West China Hospital of Sichuan University and issued in and out of the country. Its initiation has been published as the name of Ocular Fundus Diseases in September 1985, and then changed to Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases in 1992. Principles: The journal carries out the health policies of the party and motherland, combining basic sciences with clinical practices, while also focusing on rising standards and popularization. To reflect overall the domestic clinical and fundamental research achievements in the fields of leading subjects of ocular fundus diseases, to cultivate the professional personnel on ocular fundus diseases, to advance the popularization and improvement of the medical science on ocular fundus diseases in China and to promote the academic communication between internal and external specialists. Report Range and Main Columns: The synopsis of the contents are clinical and basic research achievements about retinal, uveal, vitreous, and optic-nerve diseases and other ocular fundus diseases related to the systemic diseases. The main columns of the journal are Editorial, Original Articles, Short Articles, Reviews, Case Reports, etc. Academic Effects: Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases is the key periodical in Chinese, the statistical source periodical of Science and Technology paper.
