Relationship between serum uric acld and metabolic syndrome and it's components in type 2 diabetes

Abstract： Objective To inverstigate the relationship between metabolic syndrome(MS) and serum uric acid (UA) in type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Methods 272 T2DM Patients are divided into 3 groups; male,postmenopausal female, premenopausal female, each group is divided into to MS and non-MS subgroups. Results ①UA is higher in MS subgroup than non-MS subgroup. ②UA is positively correlated with waist, TG, SBP and BP, whereas negatively correlated factors for hypericemia in T2DM patients. Conclusion UA in T2DM is correlated with MS. Waist and TG are the risk factors.
