Impact of growth hormone on endometrial receptivity in SD rats

Abstract: Objective To investigate the impact of growth hormoue (GH) on the expressions of integrin αvβ3 ( Itgαvβ3 ) and osteopontin ( OPN ) in endometrial tissues in SD rats during the impantation period,and to explore the method to improve the endometrial receptivity.Methods Fifty female SD rats were randomized into two groups,including control group(normal saline,NS group) and experimental group (GH group).The endometrium was extracted at 4 d after the presence of vaginal plug.Thereafter,the pro tein expressions of Itg α[β 3 and OPN were detected by immunohistochemical technique,and the mRNA expressions of the two factors mentioned above firstly by SYBR Green real-time PCR technique.Results The expressions of Itgαv3 and OPN were strongly positive in GH group,which were much weaker in NS group(tgoαv[33:77.33±4.23 vs 92.56± 16.80,OPN:71.75±8.77 vs 80.73± 13.00,all P<0.05).The result of real-time PCR was consistent with immunohistochemical technique.Conclusion GH can enhance the expressions of Itgαvβ3 and OPN in endometrium of implantation period,which may improve endometrial receptivity and increase the pregnancy rate in clinic.
