Abstract: The trauma to primary tooth may lead to developmental disturbances of permanent tooth. Because the traumatic events are often forgotten as accurred earlier, the timely diagnosis and intervention treatment are not conducted, resulting in aesthetic and functional disorders. This paper systematically elaborates the types of developmental disturbances in permanent tooth after traumatic injuries to the primary predecessor, and the etiology, mechanism, related factors as well as the treatment options, in order to provide references for the prevention of serious complications in inherited permanent tooth caused by primary tooth trauma.
