Abstract: Establishing a stable resin-dentin hybrid layer is an effective method to improve the adhesion durability of the restoration. The biomodification of dentin by cross-linkers can enhance the mechanical properties of collagen and resistance to enzymatic hydrolysis while, inhibiting the process of demineralization and promoting the remineralization of dentin, which has the potential clinical applicability of preventing dental caries and improving adhesive property. This review summarizes the biomodification of dentin type Ⅰ collagen by different cross-linkers.
