Abstract： Objective To study the adverse drug reactions (ADR)of azithromycin by infusion in the treatment of children. Methods One hundred and eighty children were treated with azithromycin by infsion.The clinical observation on its adverse reactions was made and nursing care was provided. Results 51 ADR were occurred in 180 children, and the rate of ADR was 28.3%. 19 cases below one year old, and 14,11,7 cases in 1 ～3,3 ～7,7 ～ 14 year old separately. 17 and 26 ADR were occurred in 10 ～20 min and 20 min separately. 1,5,2 ADR were occurred in 4 ～ 6 h ,2 d ,3 d after infison separately. Conclusion Strengthening clinical observations and applying psychological care patiently and carefully is the key to improving clinical efficacy and safety in taking azithromycin by infsion.
