Abstract： The problems currently faced by the World Chinese Journal of Digestology are summarized and some possible solutions are proposed in this paper,aiming at improving the level of published articles,enhancing the academic influence of the journal,and promoting its development.A translational medicine column can be created to publish studies that combine basic research with clinical research.The journal can also publish a series of in-depth reports on certain specific diseases to improve the research level and the ability to diagnose and treat these disease.The journal should not only seek to develop comprehensively,but also highlight some featured topics to make more contribution to the development of gastroenterology and hepatology.
