Abstract: The c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) is a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) family, and can regulate cell growth, development, proliferation and differentiation.Aberrant expression of JNK is closely associated with occurrence and development of human skin diseases.Studies have confirmed that JNK is overexpressed and abnormally activated in the dermis/epidermis of patients with various skin diseases, which can cause abnormalities in cell growth, development, proliferation and differentiation,as well as occurrence of inflammation and apoptosis.Selective blocking of aberrant activation of the JNK signaling pathway may improve patients' condition. At present, therapies targeting the JNK signaling pathway have become a research hotspot in various skin diseases.
