Abstract: Fractional lasers alone or in combination can improve superficial scars, atrophic scars, hyperplastic scars and keloids to different degrees, but occasionally aggravate the condition. They can effectively reduce the possibility that early-stage trauma or surgical scars develop into hyperplastic scars. The therapeutic effect of fractional lasers is associated with the type of scars, treatment parameters, Fitzpatrick skin types, postoperative care, etc.The main adverse reactions of fractional lasers include temporary or persistent erythema, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, pain, blisters, crusts, infections, etc. These adverse reactions are usually slight or temporary, and permanent or serious complications rarely occur, but hyperplastic scars occasionally form.
