Abstract: Dendritic cell-specific ICAM-3-grabbing non-integrin (DC-SIGN) is a group of C-type lectin receptors specifically expressed on dendritic cells, which can recognize and capture many kinds of glycosylated antigens, and exert immunomodulatory effect through interaction with different carbohydrate ligands and pathogens. As the receptor of a broad-spectrum of pathogens,DC-SIGN is correlated with many pathogens such as virus, bacteria, fungi, and is involved in chronic inflammation and allergic reactions.Recently, more and more attention has been given to the roles of DC-SIGN in dermatoses and venereal diseases.DC-SIGN is mainly distributed on immature DCs in peripheral tissue and mature DCs in lymph tissues, and has also been observed on both keratinocytcs and Schwann cells recently.
