Abstract: As a group of cutaneous symptoms caused by excessive androgen in women,SAHA syndrome is clinically characterized mainly by seborrhea, acne, hirsutism and androgenetic alopecia. The syndrome occurs either on the basis of high levels of circulating free androgens caused by a series of disorders,or due to the hypersensitive response of pilosebaceous apparaus to normal levels of circulating androgen.Clinically,it is classified into idiopathic, ovarian, adrenal, hyperprolactinemic SAHA and HAIR-AN(hyperandrogenism,insulin resistance, acanthosis nigricans)syndrome.Individualized treatment should be taken on the basis of defined etiology and clinical pattern.
