Abstract: Progress has been made in the research of vaccines against human papillomavirus (HPV),herpes zoster virus (HZV), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and herpes simplex virus (HSV), which will benefit the prevention of some dermatoses and venereal diseases, and reduce the healthcare burden associated with diseases caused by the four viruses. This review describes recent advances in studies on efficacy and safety of vaccines against HPV and HZV, and in development of vaccines against HIV and HSV.
