Abstract: Melanoma is an aggressive skin tumor with upregulated expression of nuclear factor (NF)-κB. Abnormal NF-κB signaling pathway takes part in angiogenesis in, proliferation, apoptosis, metastasis and other pathological physiological processes of melanoma, leads to abnormal expression of genes, and accelerates the progression of disorders. It has been demonstrated that NF-κB signal transduction pathway, key regulatory factors such as TNFR/TRADD/TRAF, TRAIL/TRAILR, FasR/FasL/FAP-1, gene mutation, etc, play important roles in the initiation and progression of melanoma. Therefore, studies on NF-κB signaling pathway may offer new ideas and methods for the treatment of melanoma.
