Abstract: The pathogenesis of vitiligo remains unclear, and it may be closely related with hereditary factors. It is proposed that vitiligo is consistent with a model of polygenic inheritance.Studies have mapped vitiligo-associated genes to chromosome 1p31(AIS1),7q(AIS2),8p(AIS3),17p(SLEV1)and 4q13-q21 (AIS4).Additionally,many susceptibility loci have been discovered for vitiligo, including human leukocyte antigen gene,PTPN22 gene,VIT1 gene, catalase gene,TAP1,angiotensin-convertion enzyme gene, glutathione S transferase gene,interleukin-10 gene, etc.
