The Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management , a bimonthly, was established in March 1988. It is a high-level academic journal that focuses mainly on medical research management. The journal makes its best efforts to publishing governmental policies and guidelines for scientific research, and to report research achievements and progress in China in the field of medical research management. The journal targets a wide audience, including respected heads of institutions of higher learning, professors engaged in medical management, medical services, disease control and prevention, and epidemic survey, administrators in charge of research management, and scientists and scholars actively involved in medical research management. The journal has also been introducing readers with various contents by presenting such columns as Research Management Guidelines and Policy, Theory Discussion, Methodology Discussion, Scientific Research Projects and Programs, Scientific Achievements, Development and Intellectual Property Management, Scientific Cooperation and Exchange, Subject Development and Human Resource Management, Research Management of Clinical and Preventive Medicine, Literature Review, Commentary, Study Report, Case Analysis, Academic Lectures, Updates of International Scientific Management Development, New Techniques and Methods, and Scheduled Activities. The journal serves as a wonderful platform for medical research managers to share and exchange their experiences and improve their academic performance. In December 1999, the journal was included in the Chinese Periodical Network and the China Academic Periodicals (CD) in full text. It is also included in the Data Bank of Overall Evaluation of China Academic Periodicals as a source periodical. The Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management would like to further tighten its links with the Medical Research Society of the Chinese Medical Association, conduct more academic activities and exchange, enlarge contributions, and improve editing quality so as to promote closer ties between theory and practice.
