Abstract： Initial treatment for ovarian carcinoma is related to the patients'prognosis.Because of the good effect of surgery for early stage disease,chemotherapy dosen't seem to be necessary,but the patients with hish risk factors can benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy.Cytoreduction has been the cornerstone of treatment for advanced ovarian carcinoma.If the patients Can not be optimally cytoreducted in preoperative evaluation,new adjuvant chemotherapy should be carried out firstly.Carboplatin combined with Taxol has been the first choice chemotherapy regimen for ovarian carcinoma.
