Abstract: Objective To explore the expression of high-affinity NGF receptor TrkA and the effect of local delivery of NGF carried by fibrin sealant on its expression in animal models with incompletely optic nerve injury. Methods Male SD rats were randomized into injured group,NGF-treated group and normal control group. The injured models were induced by aneurysm clamp.RT-PCR was employed to detect the mRNA expression of TrkA in the 3 groups on the 3~(rd),5~(th),7~(th),10~(th) d of injury, respectively. Results The relative value in the normal control group was 0.44±0.06.The value of injured and NGF-treated groups was remarkably increased on the 3~(rd) d of injury(P<0.05).The value in the NGF-treated group was increased by 7.1,35.0,19.6 and 9.5 times of that in the control group on the 3~(rd),5~(th),7~(th) and 10~(th) d of injury, respectively;that in the injured group was 8.0,32.4,20.4 and 8.5 times, respectively;no significant difference of the relative value was noted between the 2 groups at different time points(P>0.05).Conclusion The expression of TrkA is increased short period after the incomplete optic nerve injury and local applying of NGF carried by fibrin sealant does not affect it.
