Abstract： Objective Study the clinical efficacy of application of emblization and Argon - Helium cryoablation in treatment of giant intracranial meningiomas. Method 23 cases of giant meningiomas with abundant blood supply were resected. The combination of emblization and Argon - Helium cryoablation were used. Results Blood loss volume in operation was 200～600 ml. Total resection was achieved in 23 cases which was confirmed by postoperative CT or/and MRI examination. Clinical outcomes:22 patients recovered well,l patient disabled mildly,and there was no vegetative survival or death. There was no recurrence during follow - up period. Conclusions Combination of emblization and Argon - Helium cryoablation in the treatment of giant intracranial meningiomas with abundant blood supply could decrease the intro - operative blood loss help to achieve total resection of tumors and avoid recurrence.
