Abstract： Objective To investigate the management of scalp hematomas and complications in infants. Method 99 infants with scalp hematoma and intracranial complications,or both diagnosed by CT from Jan. 2004 to Jun. 2006 were reviewed. The scalp hematomas were naturally absorbed in 16 cases,and punctured in 44 cases. Hard lumps of scalp hematomas were resected in 39 cases. Results None of the series had infection and rebleeding after the puncture of hemtomas and the resection of cranial hard lumps. Normal shape of the cranium had recovered. Intracranial complications were managed by combining therapy, and the curative effect was good. Conclusions The scalp hematomas and complications in infants should be diagnosed and treated early and the result is satisfactory.
