Abstract: In order to observe the influence of warm ischemia time(WIT)on canine cadaver donor lungs, 15 adult dogs were divided into three groups, group A with WIT for 1 h, group B with WIT for 2 h, and group C without WIT as control group. In the experiment, a model of mimicking left allograft lung transplantation was established and then PaO2, PaCO2, average pressure of the lung artery, wet/try weight ratio of ischemic lung, and type Ⅱ cell viability were recorded within 6 h to evaluate the function of the lung grafts. The results demonstrated that the cadaver donor lungs in group A had more severe reperfusion damage than in the control group, but the function of the lung grafts was still normal. The function of lung grafts in group B was poor and the damage to the lung tissue severe.
