Abstract: A left single lung transplantation was performed for treatment of one case of endstage pulmonary sarcoidosis on Feb 23,1995.The patient has been survived well more than 24 months after operation with good conditions.Recurrence of sarcoidosis in the allograft was found by transbronchial lung biopsies in the 11th and 13th months affteroperation without clinical manifestations and abnormal changes in the chest X-ray film.Immunosuppressive drugs(CsA,Azathio Prine and Prednisone)were used continuously and no other therapy was given. The literatures about sarcoidosis recurrence after lung transplantation for pulmonary sarcoidosis were reviewed. It was concluded that pulmonary sarcoidosis was the indication of lung transplantation.
