Abstract: Objective To investigate the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy before operation on high-risk patients of local advanced cervical cancer. Methods Patients with cervical cancer were treated with 1-2 courses of intravenous chemotherapy before operation. Status of clinical symptoms, size of tumor, side effectofchemotherapy and postoperative pathologicalanalysis were observed. Results Thirty cases of 44 patients showed the shortened size of tumor, The short-term clinical effective rate was 68.2% and the surgical resection rate reached as high as 100%.Conclusions The neoadjuvant chemotherapy before operation is effective on high-risk patients of cervical cancer in the Ⅰ b- Ⅱ b periods. After the treatment, tumor local is reduced significantly and the resection rate is increased. An improved life quality can be achieved thereupon by an improved therapeutic effect.
