Abstract: Objective To explore the diagnosis and treatment of nodular goiter(NG) with thyroid microcarcinoma(TMC). Methods The clinical data of 32 cases of NG with TMC was retrospectively analyzed. Results The coincidence rate of ulteasound diagnosis was 71.87%. No complications were observed. All patients were followed up for 1-7 years. Two patients had recurrence. The rest survived without recurrence. Conclusions Color Doppler ultrasonography is important for diagnosis of NG with TMC. The appropriate surgery might be side lobectomy and subtotal lobectomy of the other side. Prophylactic neck dissection is not performed normally. The prognosis of NG with TMC is good, but long-term follow up is necessary.
