Abstract： Objective To study the effeet of Liu Wei Di Huang Wan combined with hormone for systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods Sixty patients were randomly divided into 2 groups:30 were treated with prednisolone acetate in sufficient quantifies(1 ms/kg)treatment(hormone therapy alone group,group A)and 30 cases(Hormones and traditional Chinese medicine treatment group,Group B)were given the full amount of prednisone acetate(1 ms/ks)treatment and oral Liuweidihuangwan 6 g/times,2 times/d at the same time.The serum cholesterol,triglyceride,hish-density lipoprotein cholesterol and apolipoprotein A1,B concentration at the time of hospitalization and 2,4,8 weeks after treatment were detected.Centripetal obesity,moon face,purple stripes,buffalo hump and other symptoms were observed.Results Two,four,eight weeks after treatment,Cholesterol,Triglyeride,Carry lipoprotein B in group B decreased(F=22.88,4.841,90.66)and hish density lipeprotein,Carry lipoprotein A1 increased(F:10.02,4.501).Cholesterol,T riglyeride,Carry lipoprotein B in group A increased (F=21.14,5.014,68.73)and high density lipeprotein,Carry lipeproteinA1 decreased(F=9.984,5.689).All indicators of group B were improved more significantly than those of group A(all P<0.05).Condusion Liuwei Dihuangwan combinationed with hormone is simple,easy and safe for treatment of SLE.
