Abstract: Objective To study Glut-1 in gastric cancer tissues and to explore the clinical pathological sig-nificance with tumor invasion and metastasis. Methods Thirty-three cases of gastric adeuocarcinoma grade Ⅱ, tumor adjacent mucosa in 15 cases and cut end of mucosal tissues in 14 cases were analyzed using immunohisto-chemical EnVision two-step staining Glut-1. Results The expression of Glut-1 protein in gastric adenocarcinoma class Ⅱ (87.9%)was significantly higher than that in tumor adjacent mucosa(13.3%) and cut-side mucosa(0) (P < 0.05). The increased expression of Glut-1 protein had a certain relationship with lymph node metastasis. Conclusion The changes of Glut-1 protein expression may be involved the invasion and metastasis in gastric cancer.
