Abstract： Objective To explore the role of the perioperative nursing in ND: YAG laser lithotripsy with ureteroscope. Methods One hundred and ten patients were enrolled. Psychotherapy was applied before operation. Nursing of catheter after operation and nursing of double J ureteral stent and complications after operation were also used,with medical guidance given after discharge. Results In 110 cases of patients,2 cases had extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy due to stones on the line into the renal pelvis. 1 patient had an open surgery due to ureteral polyp and distortion to endoscopic insertion failure. 1 case failed as stones were too hard to crush. 106 cases recov-ered smoothly. Hhematuria disappeared in most patients in 1-4 days after operations. No complications such as ureteralperforation, avulsion, bleeding, septic kidney occured. Conclusion Psychotherapy before operation and proper perioperative nursing are important factors for patients'healing.
