Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of CO2 pneumoperitoneum laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) on the cardiovascular function. Methods Fifty patients with chronic cholelithiasis undergone laproscopic surgery were selected. During various stage of CO2 insufflations, heart rate( HR), blood pressure, oxygen saturation and electrocardiogram(ECG) were detected. Results When CO2 pneumoperitoneum was established, HR and blood pressure decreased. After 30 minutes HR and blood pressure increased obviously. ECG changed on some patients. These changes restored after pneumoperitoneum was eliminated. Oxygen saturation had no distinct changes. Conclusion CO2 pneumoperitoneum caused temporary changes of HR, blood pressure and ECG. LC procedure is safe to patients with gallstone.
