Abstract: Objective To observe the expression and clinical significance of Cagpage-9 and Ki-67 in hepato-cellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods Expression of Cagpage-9 and Ki-67 was detected by tissue microarray and immunohistochemical method in 76 HCC tissues and 38 normal liver tissues. Results The expressions of Caspage-9 in HCC tissues(55.3%)was significantly lower than that in normal tissues(78.9%)(P<0.05)and was correlated with Edmondson,s histological grade of carcinoma(P<0.05),but there was no correlation among patients, age, gender, diameter, metastasis and HBsAg expression(P>0.05).The expression rate of Ki-67 in HCC tissues(53.9%)was significantly higher than in normal liver tissues(13.2%)(P<0.01),and was correlated with Edmondson,s histological grade and metastasis of carcinoma(P<0.05).There was no correlation among patients, age, sex and HBsAg expression(P>0.05).Meanwhile,expressions of Caspage-9 wag negative correlated with Ki-67(r=-0.300,P=0.008).Conclusion Low Caspage-9 expression and high Ki-67 expression may involved in the pathological process of cell apoptosis and proliferation, and play an important role in occurrence and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma.
