Abstract： Objecfive To evaluate the plasma fibrin and D-dimer levels in patients with macrovascular complication in type 2 diabetes and to investigate the association between plasma fibrin and D-dimer level and macrovascular compliations in type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods One hundred and twenty patients hospitalized with type 2 diabetes were divided into two groups based on whether they have macrovascular complications.30 healthy people were enrolled into control group.Results AIl patients were evaluated for plasma fibrin and D-dimer level in type 2 diabetes mclhtus.Plasma D-dimet level in type 2 diabetes mellitus with macrovscular compliations was hisher than in type 2 diabetes mellitug without macrovascular COlEIplications.Conclusions These lagsults suggest that D-dimer play an important role in the pathogenesis of macrovascular complications.
