Abstract: Objective To analyze the correlation between heart rate variability and prognosis of heart diseases with occurrence of ventricular premature beat. Methods One hundred and fifty-two heart disease patients who suffered from ventricular premature beat were enrolled. Indexes of Turbulence Onset (TO) and Turbulence Slope(TS) was observed in this research. Meanwhile, the heart rates before and after ventricular premature beat were compared. Results In patients with hypertension, myocarditis, without heart diseases, the differences of TO and TS before and after ventricular premature beat were not significant. But in patients with coronany heart disease, the TO and TS were significant different. Conclusion Heart rate variability after onset of ventricular premature beat could be a predictor for prognosis of heart disease.
