Abstract： Objective To summarize the onset of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) and research development of its effect on the flying abilities of flying personnel.Literature resource and selection The professional reports,articles and books that published at home and abroad. Literature quotation Twenty-six references were cited. Literature synthesis The paper introduced OSAHS incidence trend and its effect on flying personnel's flying abilities and flight safety.Adding medical standards of OSAHS check to pilot's physical examination was proposed.Analysis also covered its effect on the astronauts who were in weightless environment. Conclusion The incidence of OSAHS is higher in flying personnel than in the common people and it seriously affects flying personnel flying abilities,threaten flight safety and shortens their career.It is necessary to add corresponding medical standard for checking OSAHS in the physical examination of flying personnel.Snoring may ease in weightlessness.
