Abstract: Lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI),such as community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and influenza, still are the major leading causes of morbidity and mortality, and the third most common cause of death globally although it fluctuates among different stratified countries.1 As reported by WHO in 2008,the cause of death for LRTI is at tier 1 in low-income countries, tier 4 in middle-income countries, and tier 5 in high-income countries respectively.1 However, due to the technic or societal factors the infectious pathogens resulting in CAP could not be detected well in many clinical scenarios, especially in developing countries and fundamental or community hospitals.
