Abstract： Objective:To study the clinical effects of simple continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) device in the treatment of critically ill patients.Methods:Totally 95 patients from November 1991 to December 1998 were treated with simple CRRT device, and the prognosis of the patients and the efficacy of uremic toxin clearance were analyzed.Results:Thirtyeight(40.0%)patients died,and 57(60.0%)patients survived in the acute phase of their illness,the values of blood urea nitrogen was(17.3±3.1)mmol/L and serum creatinine was (313.7±33.1)μmol/L when CRRT was ceased.No obvious sideeffect related to simple CRRT device was observed.Conclusions:The simple CRRT device designed by our institute is effective and safe instrument to treat the critical patients.
